I've used Square for my restaurant/cafe and my e-commerce website for 6 years and I've never had a problem. Support has even been pretty good. I could call them right now and be talking to a USA-based support agent within 5-10 minutes. I have had multiple problems with PayPal. I've also looked through the fine print for the countless competitors that contact me on a weekly basis, and none of them are offering a better deal. But I'll tell you what IS a scam, and that's the Better Business Bureau! Know what it takes to be an "accredited" member of the BBB? Send them a check. You'll will instantly have an A+ BBB rating. Try to terminate your membership, they bill you anyway and send you hate mail.

Square is no different to PayPal and other merchants with complaints. 99% of restrictions (and I have researched this) are to do with things that have changed since their original application for the account. So for example, if I was to open a PayPal account (or Square or any other account) today and told them that I thought I would take around £1000 a month (or $1000 or whatever your currency is) and then in 2 months time i started taking (on average) over this amount (like £3000) then this flags their security system. This is why you always need to keep them in the loop. I have been using PayPal and Square terminals for years and have never had problems.

My question is why are people keeping that much money in square? It should be used for transactions, not as a bank account to store money. You should be transferring your money to a secure account.

Thanks Bro. Was considering giving them a try. After all the complaints and their apparent disregard for the customer ? Don't think I will be using square. It sounds like they need to shut that place down.

I'm part owner of a small company that uses Square for their pos. They Don't do much in net sales about half a million a year and they've had no problems with Square. They Don't use the Square card they transfer the cc money to their bank every day but their only complaint so far is monthly fees for each POS system it's 60 right now I think per POS.

I am providing software and database service and a customer wanted to pay by card. Boy was that a mistake. I opened a square account, invoiced for 2G's and my money is in Limbo. I won't be using square or any other merchant provider. If I don't get it shortly I will have the customer dispute the charges and square can give them back the money and they can zelle it to me or send a check. When the customer disputes, how would you recommend they dispute? --"It was supposed to be $230 not $2300"? OR "I already paid the bill with a Zelle, I thought the card was denied" OR "I used the wrong card, its not in my name"? any suggestions?

I don't use PayPal bc of them doing the same exact thing, holding money to where you can't do business at all.

I've used Sqaure in our business for 4 years now. I can't say anything bad about them. They have the cheapest equipment. They have the easiest inventory system, and the cheapest processing fees. Even their loans are cheaper in percentage then any other company. If the system goes down we can always use our phones, pads, laptops, pretty much and mobile device to process a transaction. Even if our internet goes down we can still process credit cards for 24 hours. They charge a processing fee plus .1 per transaction. We pay a monthly fee , but only because we use their inventory system and the support that comes with it.

I disagree with your video and its views on Square. Before Square I used Harbor Touch. I hated them because of their hidden and surprise fees. Frequently they applied a new fee. I wasn't supposed to be in a contract with Harbor Touch and when I wanted to quit they hit me with a $1200 cancellation fee for breaking the contract. I wanted to avoid the fee and run out my contact but then they hit me with a minimum transaction fees. I had Square for about 7 years at 2.75% and when they changed to 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction I started to look elsewhere. I went with different companies with Clover and all of them were crooks. I am back with Square because of their transparency. There are never any hidden surprise fees. No contract. No tricks. They have never held my funds. They have a $250 per year charge back protection. For me Square has been the best in a industry where most credit card processing companies are crooks!!!

I used them and what he says is correct! Week after week my money was being held and they kept saying that my bank account was disconnecting with my bank and told me to speak to the bank. I spoke to the bank and they told me it was Squre that was disconnecting! They had thousands of dollars and I finally did get my money back but with a large percentage rate! NEVER use SQUARE it rips people off and there needs to be a class action!

I like to post this to friends to motivate them to follow any of the following goals: - losing weight - quitting smoking, drinking, or recreational drugs - getting psychological/psychiatric treament - getting medical treatment for health issues - self-improvement - starting a new job

Any company that pays their CEO this kind of money must be corrupt: As Chief Executive Officer of what is now called Block, $13,366,758 in total annual compensation. That crap is why people don't trust big companies. I'll just take my $8 per hour and shut up now.

Lord have mercy, girl, you actually suffered a net loss. Going to court = loss of time and fuel. Tickets by camera are Not enforceable by law anywhere. They don’t prove the driver.
